The impressions of color evoked by planes of color and the three-dimensional lines that separate them, the potential for varied perspectives drawn from the details and the whole—just as images appear and vanish between clouds and the people gazing upward, Taro Morimoto’s paintings may also be continuously generating a “chain of images” characterized by sharing and transcendence.
This exhibition features works from the candle series resumed last year, pieces based on motifs such as flowers and birds that continue from the previous exhibition, as well as works created over the past few years while shifting through time and memory.

色面とそれらを分つ立体的な線から受ける色の印象、細部と全体から感じる見方の可能性。雲と見上げる人々のあいだにイメージが生まれては消えていくように、森本太郎の絵画も共有や飛躍といった「イメージの連鎖」を生み出しつづけているのかもしれません。

昨年から再開した蝋燭のシリーズと前回展「孤独の池」からつづく花や鳥をモチーフにした作品、ここ数年、時間や記憶を前後しながら制作した作品を展示します。ぜひご高覧ください。
