Eisaku Ando Exhibition / 安藤榮作「Dedicated to 3.11」

27 February – 23 March, 2020
about

Eisaku ANDO has been sculpting for a great many years by carving notches in wood that look like adze blows. Since March 11th, he has observed the huge impact from the Great East Japan Earthquake and Fukushima nuclear disaster, having been personally affected himself. This exhibition sends a strong message, featuring both sculptures and drawing « Life »(2016). As a prize winner at the 10th Enku Grand Award in 2019, Ando’s work is anticipated to become increasingly influential and we invite you to view his sculpture exhibition.
