There is a sensation that feels entirely one’s own, and yet exists somewhere beyond the self. Following its prompting, the artist captures a fleeting moment. What emerges surpasses his own imagining, and it is this image that he places in space as what might be called a “work of art.” Using the pinhole camera technique, Yoichi Sano approaches the world around him with a certain passivity, yielding work filled with light, air, sound, and resonance. We warmly invite you to experience his exhibition.

唯一自分のものであるようで、自分を超えたところにある「感覚」。その促しに従って瞬間を掬い取る、そして現れたイメージが自身の想像を超え、「作品」と呼びうるものを空間に配置する。ピンホールカメラの手法を用いつつ、ある種受け身で風景と向き合うことで捉えられた光、空気、音、響きに溢れた佐野陽一の作品、展示、ぜひご高覧ください。
