In addition to 6-7 wood sculptures of various sizes inspired by flora, Miwa presents a series of small-sized works with tree branches as motifs, reflecting his focus upon the very process of sculpting and the concrete form brought to this. He says the unfamiliar shape that comes to life in the leaves and the blending of space between the plants used as motifs is both an act following the plants’ growth process, reaching a natural collaboration between the Law of nature and his own creative process.

彫刻家三輪洸旗（みわこうき）の個展を開催いたします。植物をモチーフにした大小６～７点の木彫のほか、枝をモチーフにした小品シリーズを発表します。

近年、三輪は彫刻制作のプロセスそのものに焦点を合わせ、そのプロセスを形にすることを追い求めてきました。モチーフとする植物の主体である葉とその余白の融合で生まれる未知の形は、植物の成長過程のプロセスをたどる行為でもあり、自然界の法則が制作の進行と合致するということに自然とたどり着いた、と言います。「形は豊かさという喜びに自然と帰着する。」と話す三輪の個展をどうぞ、ご高覧下さい。
