GALLERY TAGA2 presents works of a lithograph artist, Keisuke Kinoshita.

Our new exhibition tries a different approach to display Kinoshita’s work;

the first floor gathers his painting pieces with lattice-like patterns using oil paints and MDF boards, while the second floor presents his lithography collections showing sceneries from the area near Tama River where he resides.

His oil paintings are colorful and vivid. Using only primary colors,Kinoshita has repeatedly applied thin layers of oil-based lithography ink to create these images.

His lithography works, on the other hand, use the method of monochromatic black-on-white imagery interpretation,which makes the sceneries come alive at the gallery.

Kinoshita expresses motifs of various kinds using different methods,and he combines them all like a collage in the form of lithography.

This exhibition is the first attempt to divide what has once been united and display Kinoshita’s work both individually and categorically.

版画家木下惠介の個展を開催します。今回の展覧会は、ギャラリー1階にMDFボードに線を格子状に描いた油彩作品、ギャラリー2階に木下の自宅近くの多摩川周辺風景を描いたリトグラフ作品を展示します。

油彩作品は、リトグラフの油性インクを原色のまま何十回も薄く塗り重ねる方法で描くカラフルでシャープな作品、またリトグラフ作品は、白い紙に墨1色のモノトーンで描いた作品で、会場ではまるで風景に囲まれているかのような臨場感が表現されます。

木下は様々なモチーフを様々な描き方で表現し、それをコラージュのように組み合わせた版画作品を制作してきています。それらの要素をそれぞれ独立させて見せているのが今回の展示だといえます。
