The Great East Japan Earthquake served as a turning point for Eisaku Ando, prompting him to reconnect with the voice of souls. Today, guided entirely by that inner voice, Ando continues his life’s work of carving wood as a dedicated Kizami-bito (woodcarver).
This exhibition transforms the gallery into a resonant space, gathering intimate, small-scale works that embody the very essence of his current carvings, wishes, and joy.
