“The existence of all the presence that appeared in this world is the fruit of the universe, including myself, my friends, acquaintances, animals, insects, plants, lands, ocean, the universe, and stars.” Eisaku Ando says the phrase “fruit of the universe” fundamentally changed his life as a sculptor. This exhibition showcases medium-sized and small sculptures that are worry-free, such as works that seem like “they are musical instruments that are playing the tune of the beginning of the universe.”

「自分も友人知人も、動物も虫も草木も、大地や海や宇宙も星も、この世界に出現した全ての存在はみな宇宙の果実・・」。この「宇宙の果実」という言葉は彫刻家人生を根本的に変えたと安藤榮作は話します。本展では”宇宙の始まりの一音を奏でる楽器”を思わせるような作品等、気負いなくつくられた中小の彫刻が並びます。ぜひ楽しみにお越しください。
