The spring with thawing snow, and the summer with shining sunlight. These two seasons were captured at a mountain lake in Okunikko by Yoichi Sano who continues to create works using a pinhole camera. Look at the echoes of light that were taken in by the small hole of the pinhole, and then strive to hear those echoes. It was there that I-Novel authors stayed, and documented their lives. The images recorded at those shores give us a new clue to perceiving the world.

雪解けの春と陽射しの注ぐ夏、ピンホールカメラの手法で制作を続ける佐野陽一は、奥日光・山上湖でこのふたつの季節を捉えました。ピンホールの小さな穴から取り込まれた光の谺(こだま)を見、そしてその響きを聴く試み。かつて私小説家も滞在し手記を書いたというその湖畔で記録されたイメージは、私たちに世界を知覚する新たな手がかりを示してくれます。
